    Hi,

    my family is on vacation on Hawaii.
    We are following them by a Blog.

    They went for swimming yesterday and encountered a nice fish.
    They could not find the name of the fish.
    The made a picture of it.
    The picture is attached.

    I would like to know the name of this nice fish

    looks like some sort of triggerfish. I am not good with salt.

    Looks to be an endemic colour morph of an Achilles Tang aka Acanthurus achilles.

    I agree with Stuart, looks like an Achilles to me as well. impressive fish.

    I believe it's a unicorn fish; it's certainly a tang, although it doesn't seem like an achilles, it's possible, but the fins and the head don't seem correct. Of course, it could be an endemic colour morph, but I'd still put my bets on the unicorn fish. A better/bigger picture would confirm.

    Welcome to the forum! The fish you have attached is a Naso Tang or Naso lituratus. Very common on the reefs of Hawaii and most of the South Pacific.

    It's the same fish =P Naso tang = Orangespine unicornfish = Naso lituratus
