Hi all,
Just a quick update. I just concluded attending the 4 day training at the ADA headquarters. I just found out that I am the first participant from Canada, ever. There were a total 22 participants worldwide. I am the only one from Canada. We were divided into four teams and I was also voted best participant in my group! Yehey for Canada!
A lot of topics were discussed during the four day seminar. Each day, Mr. Amano conducted the lecture himself and then let us to do actual exercises with ADA staff team leaders. It was really hard work from 8AM to 6PM with only a 15 minute break in the morning and afternoon and one hour lunch break.
We completed tore 15 tanks down in the Nature Aquarium Gallery and rebuild them from scratch. Mr. Amano took time teaching us how to make each tank! The hardest part was to carry and putting the heavy rocks into the new tanks. I will be posting the pictures of the before and after. The ones we tore down are still so beautiful but Mr. Amano said it is the only way for us to learn. So he ordered all 15 tanks to be dismantled and rebuilt. In the four years of ADA Nature Aquarium Seminar, this year was the most number of tanks rebuilt. Last year was only 4 tanks.
I very excited to go back to Canada to give free lessons to on the ADA Nature Aquarium methods. For those who are interested (for free), just post in this link and we will prepare for it. We will even raffle away a free ADA tank during this free workshop!
Here is the picture of Mr. Amano and me during the first day welcome reception in Niigata!
