    Default Asian Aro question

Have 3 aros in three different tanks. Doesn't happen always, but sometimes after I do a water change. They would keep on opening their mouth while swimming around. Would go on for days. Measured ph and hardness, not really a significant change from before and after the water change. They would be the only ones doing it. The other fish in the tanks including silver and black aros never did. Anyone know why? Thanks.

I see my aro yawning, but not that much. lol makes me sleepy thinking about yawning.

So long as the fish are eating, active, and the water parameters are good I would not worry.

It is just a new water shock so it give the aro a hard time breeding but like Theo said if your water change is regular and not a big amount then it is fine. Now let comm them .

yup, water out of the tap can be quite depleted of O2, if it happens with water changes this is likely the issue in your area. "spray" the water into the tank to create allot of aeration when putting it in, and or use a holding tank with large bubbler to aerate the water for a night before it goes into the tank.

Also you’ll likely notice less effect with small water changes then you would with larger one’s but
