Are you asking for our suggestions as how much is a good deal?
I recall picking up two delhezi for $35 each for a 6-7"
I'm not sure the price nowadays as that was two years ago, and that's when I was a little obsess with polypterus!

For a wild caught at 7-9" I won't pay any higher than $40. For a captive breed 7-9" I won't pay any higher than $30. In asia where they are being captive breed they cost about $3-$5 each at 7-9".

You're wrong... they're not $3-$5, they're plainly worthless HAHA! But in Canada... we treat every single thing like diamonds! LOL!

It's the shipping cost, tax and dealer's profit is what makes the $5 fish goes to become a $30 fish. Yeah pretty much over are cheap if you came here in Northe America or Europe or already rich. But for the local people over there it''s still expensive. Money always starts from 1 cent regardless of the currency. We just lucky to carry $$$$$$$ and when converted to other money in asia it becomes so much more. Even one time the first time I went back in the Philippines back in 2006, I felt like a millionaire for the first time in my life. Lol! $1=P52.

In Kamloops they sell for over $75 per fish and they're only 4" max.

HAHA!!! Yah! I know what you mean... the most ridiculous thing i still find are turtles! Red ear sliders are completely worthless and garbage over there, they sell them in a bucket with 100 others, and you can still bargain for your $2 haha! I can't believe it's so ridiculously priced over here! oh wellz... i guess i'll always remember wheN i came "Welcome to Canada" LOL!

As for the Delhezi, I recall Kolewolf (no longer in the hobby ) He imported tonz and tonz of those as well as palma polli, endlicheri, albino senegalus..etc... but darn, those days are now gone =( can hardly find a polypterus for cheap no more!
