    that ray tank is super nice. I wonder if thats 3M sand hes using??

    This is the reason why I'm looking for cheap tiles. I plan to do this to my lungfish tank as an experiment. If it works out well I will do this to more of my tanks. When I get the tiles today and finish I'll post up some pics.

    Tiles work fine, Ive been using them for years... If you fit them together snug enough not much detritus gets under them.. I lift mine every year and theres barely anything underneath.

    The better option is once they are placed in to silicone the cracks, but that usually requires a dry tank.
