Default My 240 Monster tank in the works...

Thought I’d share a few pic's my 240 gallon, it's a constant work in progress always looking fish & plants to be large enough to add, I’ll have 2 Indo dat's (already grown out to 6 & 12") arriving Friday ! So I’ll follow up with more pic's!

I’m also switching the sump out from a 30 gallon to a 90 gallon this friday, that will become home to a small clown knife and pair of small spotted/Florida gars let them grow out in before moving to the main tank!

Untill then here it is , curently home to a large oscar, RTG and 3 endli bichir's.

Wow this is something! Really nice.

If you're after large plants, Clown Lover has a large anubia for sale at the moment. It's in a pot too, so it could easily go in your tank.

    thanks everyone,

H., not sure on his exact size , he’s gotta be around 14" he's big and very heavy bodied , not too aggressive to other fish but he's got an attitude toward people, flares & attacks the glass sometimes if you are too close to the tank or if you watch for too long (without offering a snack) it’ll start bothering him triggering an attack lol. I've gotta watch him closely when working in the tank he'll come after me and a big oscar has a decent bite on them lol

As for plant's I’d love some large plants but too cheap to pay shipping, slim picking out here on the east coast so i'm stuck growing out my own, no biggy it ad's cover in the growout/sump , great for the fish growing out while the plants grow out with them

I'll get a couple more oscars only after building my next tank, I never intended to keep the oscar in with the other more peaceful species, this guy was an adoption, lived in a 90 with a mix oc convicts and africans before i got him.

But this old dope doesn’t bother anyone so he got to stay in the 240, I wouldn’t risk another I think my aro and other tankmates would get picked on.

after the next tank upgrade i might try to pair the oscar up in the 240 while the others move on to a larger home safe from a pair of aggressive Oscars!
