Yes they will soon to be monster. Just worried about the gars when the pbass gets big. There are many gar pbass mix that didn't do good for the gar.

Here are some of those:
Pbass will try to swallow the gar and both could die.
Pbass will chase the gar and can break the gar's back or snout if it hit the tank wall
Pbass are known to steal food from the gar's mouth and it could break the gar's snout.

Search pbass and gar combo in mfk to find out.
