you can introduce the male after she delivers. right now shes taking a good beating. id relocate him before he does some more damage!
some tips from my own experience:
1) keep the water clean
2) feed lots now because after she delivers, she will usually refuse to eat for few days after delivery. due to stress etc. so if shes fat now, the body will handle the stress a lot better and she will bounce back faster.
3) have a floating tub ready to fit the inside of that tank
3) after she gives birth, separate mother from pups after an hour or 2. put the pups in the floating container, that way the female wont bite the pups. i heard of some cases that the female will try to kill the pups due to stress.
4) do not expose the pups to air. transfer the pups into the container with a smaller container.
5) keep a small airstone in the floating container
6) you can try to feed the pups after 2-3 days. if they yolk sac still attached, a few more days. mine came out at about 4 inches. pretty big with no yolk sac attached. they ate 2 days later
7) feed the pups with small/soft worms. black or bloodworms. i fed mine chopped earthworms and bloodworms.
8) feed them smaller amounts/several times a day
this was my floating compartment that i made for my 2 pups. pups were kept in here for a few days in the same water as the birth place until they were feeding well. after that, they were transferred into their own 40 gal. again, with 100% birth tank water. you can do a small water change once the pups are eating. but not too much since they are sensitive to any big chances in water chemistry at this point.
hope this helps and gluck!!!

No problem! Its very rewarding especially since its your first time. I did a ton of reading and research but in the end, it was a lot easier than expected. Most important is to make sure mom is 110% healthy and the pups will follow.
