About LinkBacksi was just watching some tv and noticed my male hybrid ray chasing my marble female a lot. for the past 2 weeks, there has been a lot of chasing and biting but i didnt think of it too much. maybe he finally got to her tonight? she excreted a lot of white waste which made the water all cloudy and also had a long string of white stuff coming out of her anus. its def not black solid waste like normal. she was breathing heavily and wasnt swimming around too much with the male constantly following her from behind. prior to night, she was always very active. i didnt see the actual mating of the rays but just excited to see such behavior. any of those that bred rays before, your input would be appreciated. thanks!

Yes that white stuff is normal. Did the female went upside down as if the female just stayed flat then nothing will happen as the male need her to go upside down as he will use his claspers. You will soon find out when you see the back getting bigger and moving. Should take 3 months when the pups are ready to come out.

i didnt see the actual mating taking place. although im hoping that it did lol. i came downstairs and noticed a bunch of stuff floating around and the white stuff hanging out. we will see in a few months!

Give it a month and watch if the back is moving. Not sure how long it's gonna take as one is a hybrid.

Good luck Mike, if you notice the male stop chasing the female then she is pregnant, but if he still chasing her and biting her then still no luck yet. Within a month you will see the different on the female. Mine motoro is due next month too and this time I make sure the pup survive.
