    Default Bloat or Swim Bladder?

Is the only difference(apperance wise) between Bloat & Swim Bladder, the size of the belly? Besides 1 being a bacterial problem and the other not.

One of my Forktail Rainbows has been swimming weird. Nose up and whole body moving to stay afloat instead of just his tail. No "Bloated" look. Still eating and on occasion chasing 1 of the other males. I have been doing daily water changes the last 2 days when I noticed this and I will keep it up until (hopefully) he gets better.

If this is swim bladder whats the best way to help him?

If this is bloat, which I doubt, I know peas help.

    Thanks for the help

something similar happend to two of my tiger barbs..i did frequent water changes and i didnt feed them for two days.. eventually they regain normal swimming patterns..i fed them very sparingly after that..cooked peas only. what worked for me might not actually work for you but its worth a try right? however my barbs had problems staying down.. they kept floating up to the top which to me sounds like swim bladder.
