Hmmmmmm. I will have to investigate that's for sure, like I said before, I'm just learning how to do this, plus I'm outta work and the our Damn government say's it would be stupid to retrain me in a different field of work, so I thought i'd try my hand at web building??? I go in for Surgery on the 19th so I gotta try something, because i can't go back to what i was doing and that was Construction.... if it works out Great if not hmmmm ohh well what do you do.. I've got about 3 months of sitting on my ass waiting to heal, if all works out.. if not then more time to rethink , if ya can from what i've heard is that i need more members in my website to get it going properly, if you want to Join (IT'S FREE)if not no worries, or just sign the guestbook, and hey thanks for checking it out..

Hi Rob,
the web site looks good but you need a way to disable the sound.

I was going to leave the site open while I checked my email but the sound would not stop so I had to close it...Most sites you can toggle the sound on off by hitting the Esc key.

i'm a graphic designer, but i'm more focused on print than web. im in the same boat...learning this web stuff. a friend told me about a great resource...i think you can actually get certified through it. it's called w3schools.com, or something like that. it's a pretty good resource, cuz it'll teach you code and have working examples you could click on and play around with. i'm trying to put together a website of my own work...i don't have to tell you how annoying it gets to code something and because a semicolon or quotation mark is missing...it's doesn't work. it's like...i'll sit there for an hour...just to pretty much change the color of my font.

I used to write a daily newsletter, Mike's Whats News see the old ones at mwn.ca.
I would create a plain text document and use a free program called Text2HTML available here:

It is a zipped program and I just downloaded it again and checked it with Eset Av and Mailware Bites to make sure it was not infectious.
It works great.
Your create a text document with the Capitol letters and line/carriage returns or none<G>
and save it as plain text.

Open Text2HTML and it opens a split small window.
on the left choose the folder the document is in
on the right you choose the file
then in the tab on top choose convert
It creates the same document as an HTML coded web page.

I then go in and add the HTML 'tags' by hand

Sample <B> bolds a word or section of test</B> ends the bolding<BR>
causes a new line same as if you had done a 'return' in the typing of a line.

the w3schools.com will have a table of the code to use.
or give me a shout and I can help/try to, you hand code.

I made my pages about 10 years back by adding features I found on other web pages and learned to use them, things like drop down boxes.
