hey i wonder how do fish survive in dirty pond water where u can hardly see them unless they come up to the surface. see in an aquarium if water went dirty it could be bad for fish health yea and anomina would have higher numbers at test.

Hi Gary,
in nature may rivers and streams become muddy during spring melt or due to runoff and the fish survive.
In other cases the fish survive in ponds as the rainy season ends and the flood waters evaporate.
Other fish survive in ponds with a lot of algae growth.
What type of dirty water are you referring to and what type of fish?

and that as they say is that.
the pond fish should be OK
my 201's are only 4 inches long.
Cheers mike
according to me everyone who is having a pond or aquarium should keep its water clean . dirty water having bad effect for fish . it could be lead to their death. so if the water of pond is dirty we have to change it on time.
I agree that clean water is important.
I run AC70's on my 20 gallon and 33 gallon tanks and AC 110 on my 50.
My larger tanks have FX5
all tanks also have sponge air filters and I rotate my UV lamps on to smaller tanks the larger one have their own UV filters.
I keep 100 gallons of treated (Aqua Plus and UV) clean water on hand for water changes.
My pond uses an Laguan 2100 UV filter on it, and an in-pond bio filter pick up to circulate the water.
I also added modified swimming pool filter with bio balls and lava rock.
I don't think you can over filter.
