    Default Fish Profile section

Could we possibly do a fish profile section, this way we dont have to send people to other sites to get info on their fish and people who have experience with them can post below the profile. Just a suggestion as I know this would be a huge under taking

Something that has been brought up in the past but as you said it would be a huge undertaking and not too many to willing to sit there and write up profiles for all the fish out there, especially considering that it would have to be done in ones own writing to avoid copyright infringements and what not. It's a great idea but one that I can't see happening.

copyright infringments? we're not selling them, why not just cut/paste some profiles and post them on here? I would be happy to write something up about angels, but I don't think I could come up with anything you can't find online or in any freshwater aquarium book.

I like the idea Brisch, i'm going to take a couple minutes and put something together that i can upload to photo bucket and post on here to make it visually appealing..... something similar to what Grant has been doing for IPU.. We'll see what kind of feed back you get from this

If something is written by someone else you can't just borrow their written work if your just going to copy and paste you need to quote it with the original authors name. You don't need to sell those words to break copyright laws. Ya doubtful whoever wrote what is borrowed is out there patrolling the net making sure no one is using their words but as a site we need to cover our butts, so if this is to happen the profiles need to be in ones own words which is propably why it hasn't happened yet because that could take up alot of ones time

ya those are all mine thanks guys... i'm far from an expert on any of this, but i've kept angels for a while so it's easy to write about what i've seen.

If everyone takes a bit of time to write about fish that they are familiar with we could easily create a pretty substantial collection.
