Default How to block certain members from forum to instant message you?

I was wondering if there was an option to block someone from the instant messenger option. Usually I try to be helpful when someone messages me. But recently there is this one member who randomly messaged me one time asking me about boxing day sales, and then just kept on sending me instant messages when he sees me online on this forum asking lots of weird questions.

Usually I like chatting with members here, but when it gets to a point where someone asks me about what employee discounts I get and also questions regarding how to mix salt with a salinity, or what we have in stock in the place I work, when it is outside my work time, it's just a bit too annoying.

Yeah you can. Put the member on your ignore list.

Go to the member's profile (click their name).
Click on USER LIST. Select ADD TO IGNORE LIST. Select YES.

    Done.

    From the FAQ section:
"Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?
If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:
Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'."

I have sent the member in question a pm asking that individual to stop spamming members with questions and to simply post the questions in the correct forum and wait for other members to reply if they choose.
