LFS reviews?

dang...it feels like a "thin ice" kinda subject...i see both ways. i wouldn't want lawsuits on anyone.

ive seen that post about the LFS's. thats what brought me to creating this thread. im in cloverdale and i've been to alot of the fish stores in the vancouver area. when i looked at that other thread, i found some that i've never been to. (the ones in north burnaby and north van) it's a drive to get out there, not really the distance but the traffic i have to go thru.

what if there was a section, each thread was a fish store and maybe instead of rating them....maybe posters would note what each place sold? i know there's gonna be alot of repetitions....like how many ppl sell 'prime'? you know?

maybe we can have 'moderators' that oversee the LFS area they live in or visit alot? i dunno who'd be willing to do it. i'd offer to do a little here and there cuz i visit a few stores, but my knowledge is limited when it comes to anything other than my mbunas.

maybe i've said something that'll spark some more ideas. pls. chime in. when i first rediscovered fish keeping...there was one saturday, i spent literally the whole day going to pet shops. i went to ones in surrey, drove down to richmond....vancouver...down to kits...down to fraser aquarium....fantasy...and then ended at king eds. king eds was the only place i found that sold the fish i was looking for. that whole pet shop tour, i wanted to see what each place was like....what each place sold, but my main thing was to find that fish. don't get me wrong though...i had a great time going around and exploring..it was awesome to see the city, since i still consider myself new to the area.

I like the intent. However I have seen the "mob mentality" in action on this forum. I foresee things going horribly wrong, and mods working overtime.

We do have a sponsorship program for LFSs to promote their stock.

Under the old forum, I remembered a review/critique of one of the LFS. Got to the point where there were not so nice letters and/or emails exchanged from the LFS and BCA administrators. Eventually the name of the FS was blocked on the forum...so need to think this out carefully here if you want to go there.
