Message Deleted before posting

Whenever I spend more than 20-30mins typing a message and try to post it, my account gets timed out and all the content in the message gets deleted and I have to do it all over again...its really frustrating.

The issue is that typing a message doesn't count as being "active" and the system signs you out because of "inactivity". Could this be fixed so that if a user is typing a message then it counts as being active?

P.S.
I dont want to hear from others to "tick the remember me button" or any other silly comments.

I've had that problem in the past as well. Couple things I do now to ensure that doesn't happen is I always select all and copy what I typed and/or open a new window/tab to BCA and make sure I'm still logged in before I submit anything, can always log in there before submitting your replies thru the other window/tab. Or hit the preview post button every few minutes so it knows your still active

I doubt there is a fix since it can't tell your typing , but you never know

check off keep me logged in, and if its a long post periodically press preview. I do it because my son will run up and delete everything by mashing the keyboard if i need to stand up for a bit. This way i can press back and continue on, whereas quick reply i'd be screwed

I did press preview in my case and it went to the "you are not logged in" screen. I press back and it went to the same page. The title was there, but no content...
I was creating a thread in this instance.

I've had it happen to me too. The thing that i have always done for years is to copy it before i press submit, never really found a way to combat it. It's not often it takes me 30 minutes to finish a post but it does happen occasionally.. just gotta be careful. In the meantime if anyone else knows a fix i'd love to hear it, i'll look around a bit at all.
