    Default New Classifieds

    Shawn,
I notice that its currently "order by" last post time, is it possible to have it "group by" forum as well or is it too hard? This is completely asthetic, but it will make it look more organized.

I wanted to PM this to you, but I thought its better to get other people's opinions on this as well.

    "In other words"

The New Classifieds thread lists from top to bottom based on the last post.
    eg:
This is how it is right now:
    post 1: Livestock - 1 hour ago
    post 2: Equipment - 2 hours ago
    post 3: livestock - 2 hours ago
    post 4: plants - 4 hours ago
    post 5: marine - 6 hours ago
    post 6: Equipment - 7 hours ago

    My recommendation:
    post 1: Livestock - 1 hour ago
    post 2: livestock - 2 hours ago
    post 3: Equipment - 2 hours ago
    post 4: Equipment - 7 hours ago
    post 5: plants - 4 hours ago
    post 6: marine - 6 hours ago

Aka, grouped by the different forums.

It's fine the way it is now - always preferred a chronological sort

New classifieds link is really just for quick browsing purposes~ IMO it's already really simple and straight forward use and looks at as it is......

Most important is members titled their classified thread properly...

i think its great the way it is, the classifieds is already organized via the forum view, so no need to make the new post filter this way

If you want to break it down to new posts for each section just go to each section at home page.
Seems simple, any more breaking down would just confuse the situation.

Edit: neven and I were thinking the same thing at the same time.

If there were 1000's of people posting on the site, maybe, but it's not that hard to browse around.

When I want a specific thing, I either use a search or go directly to the subforum, so this feature would be lost on me.

The way it works now is by time... so whatever post is most current is at the top..

I dont think i could even change it if i wanted to.

good suggestion but.. dont think it would happen

I'm assuming most people who are pressing the "new classified" button are just wondering what's new, or if there is a good deal or else they would just go strait to the subforum they are looking for a specific item IE freshwater equipment)
