It is extremely lame when you can`t even mention the name of the troubled Japanese nuclear plant because of the first 3 letters.

I think Shawn should turn off the damn censorship function .. Most of the time those cause nothing but trouble. We're all adults, or youths that are mature enough to behave like adults and we don't need arbitrary censorship of words , or parts of words some character thought might be out of place .
Years ago , I couldn't sign up for a forum because my e-mail address contained my surname . I had to raise hell with the administration to get them to change their filters to at least allow people to join the forum.
Let's see if the filter here gives me reason to be very irate.

At least the filter allows me to post my name; guess I can't raise a stink over that at least.

Interesting point, the censorship option is nothing that i did myself, it's just standard with the software, regardless i disabled it.

Regarding Dave's Issue about the sign up process..
There is a system in place which has been GREAT for us in regards to when people register. If your email address, or your username or your ip matches a known spammer in a central database your registration does not go through and you must edit your details. Before we were getting 10-20 fake signups a day... and getting spammed the crap out of with fake posts, threads... after implementing the system we only get the odd one every few days.

I didn't have an issue with the signup process Shawn... It was with one with an old , long gone, chat forum. Most of the filters of the day went to ridiculous lengths in filtering for words or terms that might be in the least objectionable. Some had it turned on in the signup area too, so many people who had what some consider a "bad " word embedded in their e-mail address were unable to join. After enough people raised the issue the filters were disabled in the signup areas.

Thanks for disabling that filter Shawn

A tad off topic, i've never had an issue on bcaquaria, but my problem signing up is that I use a .name address. A lot of systems return an "invalid e-mail address" if you use a top level domain (TLD) longer than 3 digits. The longer ones have been around for 9 years, but the writers of some e-commerse, and forum software refuse to change the line of code that makes sure that email address have TLDs of 2 or 3 digits only. Their customers (the company I want to do business with often make the excuse "the longer TLDs are not common yet", or "I've never heard of them").

Not sure if you've tried, but if you click edit on you original post on that thread , then click go advanced ...it should take you to where you can edit the title and maybe it will work
