Prospective new member gets spam message

I don't have enough information but a referral says she's getting a "this site precludes spammers" message when she tries to join up. Anyone guess what she's doing wrong?

She's Hotmail: I recommended she try another email service and see if it happens again.

Basically the only reason why someone would have a problem would be if the email or ip addy or username(this is it most cases) matches the same username of a spammer that was submitted to a central database.

So this is the situation.

Someone comes to BCAQUARIA and signs up with username SHAWN and email shawn@hotmail.com with ip:192.168.3.3, BCAQUARIA takes his info and verifies it with the spammer database, if either of those email or ip addy or username matches, then the registration is denied.

Yes, i agree it's frustrating in some cases, but it honestly protects us from hundreds of spammer/bots which try to register on a weekly basis.

That's crazy. I hate spammers so this is a good feature.
