    Lightbulb sub-forum classifieds

I see Vancouver island has a sub forum for classifieds. I understand this is because of their seperation from the mainland/travel times.

I was hoping a section could be made for Northern BC, say focusing on williams lake and northward, as there are members here from Prince George, Prince Rupert, etc. and the drive from PG to PR is at least 9 hours in its own right, and PG to Vancouver is 9 hour drive again. Sales amongst northern and southern members will be minimal.

Good idea .... I can almost hear all the 100 mile area member nickers getting in a knot katienaha ...LOL.
A northren section would be usefull say for crash creek up ...maybe members would meet half way .....good ole PG is known as Hub city anyways .
But then what about them members in the okanogan ? or the kootnies .
Ya cant take 5 kids to Mcdonalds and only buy 3 of them icecream .
Great idea but that front page is getting pretty long ...as it is i sit a weight on my down key to start scrolling to the members on line list ( I dislike the quick link tab ) I then have a smoke grab a coffee and come back just in time to see them...j.k .
It would be much easier for people up north looking for used equipment and stock.

I know the okanagen has members that pick up for anyone in the region who needs stuff from vancouver, so they are covered there.

I think the northern BC idea is a great idea, sure its a broad area, but atleast it eliminates a lot of clutter for those looking to not ship goods.

and aqua man, you can minimize forum groups you never read plus quick links today's post doesn't have the pesky time out as new posts.

LOL maybe it will be used as much as the vancouver island classifieds or chrystal pond designs..

good idea i agree for those who want to buy locally up north but it will increase the clutter on the forum home page.. but perhaps it will bring up more members who live in the slow talker area

will a slow computer it can take 20 min just to scroll to the bottom (pain in the butt on my i phone as i dont have a PC at home)

i think a general "northern bc" would make sense. and people can interpret that as they wish. if someone is from cache creek, they may choose to post both places, but, Prince george is the middle of BC when you think north to south, so it is considered northern BC.

I would think it would help direct sales a bit better.

What's Hinterland? Im pretty sure (as in positive) "Northern BC" covers half the province and is a suitable sub-forum classified section.
