For some reason my post seems to have gotten both edited and moved by an overzealous moderator.

I am looking to find a source for a new 6 gallon pails and figured that the best place in the forum would be under "Equipment Talk." I am not looking to purchase it off of another BCA member and do not see the classified ad section as the appropriate area. Additionally a moderator felt it necessary to edit both the subject line and content of the thread by adding "LF:" to the subject line and "Looking For:" to the thread. Since it was not being placed as a classified ad there was no need to add these quantifiers to the subject line and definitely to the thread body. Now the thread has been moved into the MISC classified as section where it is going to get minimal exposure when I intended it is a discussion about sourcing a piece of equipment in the equipment talk section.

I was just wondering if there is any BCA guidelines in place as to what exactly should be placed where, or if those decisions are simple left up to the personal discretion of the mods?

I am sorry if you feel that way about a BCA mod or the mod team, as I find those statement a bit unfair to a group of people that are dedicated 24/7 to help/guide/manage the site volunteerly with no pay and trying to as helpful as possible.

Although I do not think that I was the person that moved or edited your thread, but would probably do the same, as we would consider classified the proper section for post such as yours. Whoever moved it and rename it for you was simply trying to be helpful (we all want you to find some 6 gallon buckets) and keep the site tidy and organize. So please do not take it offensively or think of us as "Overzealous" people.

Lastly, as stated clearly on Site Rules Rule 3: Please post in the right section of the message board. Before you make a post, ask yourself if this is the best section to place a new thread. Any threads that we, Moderators and Administrators, feel are misplaced will be moved without warning.

I moved your thread and changed the title with the prefix "LF:", I didn't however edit your thread as you stated, I left it in its original entirety. I also left a redirect for 1 day so that you could find your moved thread more easily.

I'm sorry you feel that I was "overzealous" however it is clear you are looking for a 6 gallon bucket, and not opinions on a 6 gallon bucket. It was for this reason it was moved to the Misc Classifieds. The equipment talk section is to discuss opinions of equipment, not to necessarily to seek out said equipment, the later is more for a classified section.

As per rule#3 I moved your thread to the section I felt best fit. I'm sorry if this decreases exposure, please feel free to bump it every 24 hours. As for being "overzealous" I won't take offense to this however, and do apologize that you don't agree with my decision.
