    Default Blaine mail service?

Does anyone ship fish or other things from the US through Blaine?

I used to import stuff through Point Roberts at TSB Shipping and drive it over the border myself. Now I'd like to do the same thing in Blaine, but I need a reliable mail service.

Not a mailbox, but a place that you register (for free) with, have your packages delivered to their address, and they email you to tell you it's there. (You can get them to phone you if it's live fish, for a small charge). You only pay them a few dollars, depending on the size of the box, when you pick it up.

I even signed up for one in Blaine that someone here recommended on the old BCAquaria, but I can't remember which one it was. Brain cells slowly dying...

Check out Hagens of Blaine. They have a website. Very reliable and I've used them for years.

I use the Letter Carrier in Point Robert just across the border. You can get stuff sent there but I don't think fish.

Np. Give it a shot, they've never let me down and I have shipped fish there before as well. I find that the place in Pt Roberts do not put much care into storing your packages A few times, my stuff was just sitting outside by the side of their building or in an unlocked shed. My friend shipped a $6000 set of wheels there and they were just sitting out there.

I've used Hagen's of Blaine for years.

Peace Arch will let you bring a greater amount back tax/duty free than Pt. Roberts will especially when it's busy.

Agreed. My wife and I have been frequently waved through the border with 400-500 without question at Blaine. The duty free amounts that have been set are archaic. ie. effectively none allowed on a day trip.

I have used Pacific Mail and Parcel in Blaine without problem.

I've used a place called Blaine Enterprises, it's free up till two weeks (but if you're getting fish shipped, I'd be sitting with a coffee in their parking lot before the little guys arrived). Total mom & pop outfit, which could potentially make them less organized (took a few minutes for them to locate my package last time). It's an option though:

Blaine Enterprises - 936 Peace Portal Drive, Blaine, WA 98230 USA
