Default SP: Red Tailed Botia's at Petsmart

I have yet to see these at any lfs store, then again I haven't been to several of the LFS's. But when I was in Petsmart today I seen they were stocking Red Tailed Blue Botia's. They are about 2-3" and cost $6.99 if anyone is interested in some. Would love to have gotten a few myself but they look way to much like Red Tailed/Rainbow sharks and I wasn't sure how my sharks would react to them due to this. Though the sharks get along great with Clown Loaches , I fear they would mistake these fella's for their own kind. Anyway, they had about 8 when I was at the petsmart on Grandview if anyone is interested. I attached a pic if you have never seen them.

This species of botia is often dyed to enhance its colour for better sales, and i do believe petsmart has no policy in place against dyed fish (not certain on this)

thanks for the info neven....not sure if the ones they have are dyed as their colors are much duller than the attached photo. The ones they have do seem quite active and looked pretty healthy as far as I can tell. But I am by far an expert lol

Great Fish,I had a couple quite a few years back, they also grow quite large...one thing of note is they were definitely not as social as My Clown's they tended to stay hidden in their Logs and didn't like each other much or cared to hang out with the Clown Loaches.
