    Hey Brad,

    Just wondering what your Alkalinity Down uses. Is it Sodium Bisulfate based or something else. I've seen a few different chemicals used and I find it rather confusing. Some suggest that they will decrease the Carbonate Hardness and Ph while others don't.

    HI Neal,
    Tailored Aquatics Alkalinity Down uses a Hydrochloric Acid solution, which despite sounding harsh...I found, in this concentration, is very concentrated but very very gentle. It also lowers carbonate hardness as well, Plus it is completely phosphate free...
