VAHS meeting Dec 14 2011** VAHS member gift exchange & POT LUCK!!!

Members of the Vancouver Hobbyist Society



Vancouver Hobbyist Aquarium Society will hold an Annual General Meeting on our regular meeting date December 14, 2011 at 7:30 pm.



In addition to our regular functions, voting for directors will take place at this meeting. Only members and those in good standing are eligible to vote.



Voting should take approximately 15 minutes. Anyone interested in being on the Board of Directors please email your request to either Dave Carlson or Michael Sloan.



The Board of Directors holds meetings approximately once a month, usually the week following the monthly meetings.

The December 14, 2011 meeting is a social night and it will include our annual gift exchange. To take part in the exchange you need to bring a gift under 10 dollars in value.

Hi Rick, preferably aquarium related but the only other item in the past that was included in the exchange was a bottle of wine. Otherwise, all aquarium related stuff.

It doesn't have to be brand new, but if that's the case, please make sure that it's not expired, still works, in great shape and clean, and if it's livestock, that it's community friendly e.g. no piranha or other aggressive fish

Also, please make sure it's well wrapped and when you get in, you can place it on the gift table. I hope that helps.

Just a reminder, the meeting is this Wednesday. Everyone is welcome to come even if you are not a member. During this meeting, there will be:

- Question and Answer period
- Sharing of any new aquarium hobby experiences/ breeding/ equipment....etc...
- Socializing
- Pot luck (VAHS will be bringing some drinks and some cookies, and cutlery)
- Secret Santa gift exchange
- Plus all 2011/2012 VAHS members who show up to the meeting will receive a free gift from the VAHS
-Fish, plant, and equipment auction (members can sell, but everyone even non-members can buy)
