    Default Free Intro to Aquarium Hobby Workshops this weekend!

    (I took this information from the WCAS website. It's an excellent way to learn how to prevent green water, cycle your tank, stock it safely, etc.)

    Two free Intro workshops are scheduled for February, 2012 in Vancouver, B.C.:

    Date: February 4, 2012

    Time: 1:30 pm – 3:00 pm

    Place: Dunbar Community Centre

    Introduction to Aquarium Keeping

    An introduction to the basics of keeping a home or office freshwater aquarium. Aquariums offer an interesting, enjoyable, relaxing and beautiful addition to the home or office. Observing aquatic life in an aquarium can provide health benefits and offers enjoyment and accomplishment for family members who participate and learn about maintaining a small-scale ecosystem. In this workshop participants will learn how to set-up,
    monitor and maintain a healthy natural aquatic environment in an aquarium.

    Thank you. Since I started back into the hobby a few months ago, I have friends and family asking me questions about starting a tank as if I was an expert. Now I can encourage them to hear experts talk about the hobby.

    Hi Roadrunner.... I would guess that if the turnout was good, Gary would offer it again, and if the turnout was low, he might not.

    I think the next thing up for WCAS is to offer some online guest speakers that people can ask questions of without leaving home. I know that Gary was looking at different software products that would allow that. When I hear anything, I'll post it here.
