To promote the aquarium hobby through a range of member activities that offer a social environment for hobbyists and interested people of all ages to participate, learn, and exchange information.

To support conservation initiatives, programs and organizations with the purposes of protecting and sustaining aquatic life in their natural environments, to promote sustainable practices in the rearing and distribution of aquatic life for the aquarium trade, and to encourage the propagation of aquatic life by hobbyists.

To promote cooperation and participation with the freshwater and marine aquarium industry.
