They are looking much happier in the new tank. Not just the lighter colour but the fins also look more erect. Great to see.

Tank change again!! This week I noticed the water in the tank getting dirty much faster than usual despite no change in feeding or water changes. To me this says the fish were out growing the 20 gallon and its time for an upgrade. I set up the 55 gallon today, 200w Ehiem heater, Aquaclear 70, eggcrate over the top, and need to put the other light fixture over the left side.

I will slowly add fish starting with the 2 plecos, then the smaller discus, and finally moving up to the larger fish.

A quick 15 second video of the fish in the tank. They were moved in about 10 min before this was taken.

Sweet shape on the biggest one in your group. Maybe it's just me but it sure looks like some of them have done some serious growing since the photo you posted a week ago.

    September update.

I am already finding things I want to add to make my work load easier. Having to bucket water really sucks now that the tank is 3x larger.

There is quite a difference from smallest to biggest, I understand now why you mentioned it! But the tank looks nice and clean and the fish look to be in great shape!

Buckets! That's a lot of work. Hoses would make life so much easier.

Nice photos. I especially like the discus in the first pic.

Trying a new food here and wanted to show a sample video before I start feeding it. Replacing the FD ABW with Spinach to the Bio Plus FDABW. I will update again in a week to see the changes.

This was taken shortly after a water change.
