This is a discussion on 6th Annual CAF Grow out Contest Journal: lebon within the CAF Annual Discus Grow-out Contest forums, part of the Canadian Aqua Farm Discus Hatchery category; THanks Moloto. Yeah hopefully things will proceed favourably from here on. Yes here is a little vid of the tank ...
Wo those are huge discus in your 75g!
I have a friend here in Maple Ridge that had the same experience with their well last year, ran dry in June for the first time ever. Hopefully it was just a bad year for everyone and the water tables are back to normal this year.
mid Feb update. The grow outs are doing well. Colours are starting to come out a bit more. Some are bigger than others. We had a power outage the other day due to the snow storm. Thankfully it was only out about 2 hours. I keep saying I have to get myself a generator in the event we lose power for a more extended time. Another wake up call with this last outage. Time to start shopping for a good buy. Couple of pics added.

Thanks for the update. Love the shape of the one in the first photo. Nice pattern on that one too.
March update: All is well. Of the six original G/O's I have three remaining, each with obvious size differences, biggest, medium and small. The small one seems to be doing fine, is active and is eating, but just not seem to be putting on the pounds! I would say it is a 1/3 the size of the big one. Best guess the biggest one is getting close to 4".
Here are some pics
the first pic is all together. The small one is at the top of the plant, with the big on on the right and the middle size on the left just in front of the snakeskin.
the 2nd pic is the big and small one
the 3rd pic is the big and small again
and last pic is the big one
Looks like the largest one has had a major growth spurt.
Fish are doing well. The small is staying small. It is 1/4 the size as the biggest one as you will see in the photos. Otherwise healthy and energetic and eating fine.
Here is the comparison between the biggest one and small one
Here is all three, big, med and small
The big one has caught up in size to the snakeskin I got from Rick at the same time. The SS was a 3" or 3.5" at that time.
