    Default missing koi

We lost two of our favorite koi this week both about 24 inches and I imagine at least a couple of pounds each. Our dog was going mad in the back yard this morning at about 3 am so I'm assuming that's when they disappeared. So what would take them? Is a raccoon able to handle something that big?
I've since covered the whole pond with 1/4 inch hardware cloth and really kicking myself for not doing it sooner
I now have room for a couple more koi, any one have any for sale?

I’d expect raccoons would be able to remove hardware cloth.
It does sound like big fish for them to catch but wouldn’t be surprised at all.
Someone will likely have a better idea, but I use an electric fence system to keep predators out of my bees and chickens and would expect it to work for raccoons. 2 hot wires, one 3” off the ground then another 3-4” above that all around the pond I’d think Would work well

    +1 for the electric fencer
