    Default Inappropriate ads

I've been in this site for a bit now and have followed many threads where people had arguments with each other, complaints about things that they believe are inappropriate and now I'd like to write one. I just logged on and noticed an ad about transsexuals. Now people here have been warned about simple things as certain words that have been used or inappropriate behaviours. That this a family oriented site and things should be kept to a certain standard.I've seen on here lately ads with rather sexy looking women and now Trannies. Just wanted to see what the community things of this. Its not something that shocks me but I think that this might be slowly heading in the wrong direction. What's next Chip and dales? Escorts?

What would be so inappropriate about Chip and Dale? You don't like squirrels? I happen to love the little bushy-tailed rats......

That's too bad this was one of the safe sites that my kid can use. This site was always talked about being a family friendly website. I guess that went out the Window. It seems as though the owner of this site only cares about the mighty dollar bill. I am not happy with the direction BCA is going with their lack of moral integrity in regards to the types of adds they are proud to distribute amongst the BCA members. Does anyone else feel the same as I do?

I thought google sent targeted ads to everyone based on their interests... besides that you can always just install ad-block. My husband has adblock because of the half-naked chicks that pop up on the majority of gaming or torrenting websites. I have it for similar reasons.

Also, before anyone starts bashing BCA, give someone who would actually be able to do something about the ads a chance to reply. They may not know about it. I'm pretty sure the google algorithms are always changing and I can imagine that new ads would be added to various "ad packages" or however they do it. I have been on other forums where they needed to block specific ads from coming up and it takes someone time to learn about it and then do something about it. In the middle of the workday when people are likely not monitoring BCA constantly is not a good time to expect an instant response from the admin of BCA.

Yes most google ads are targeted from a viewers previous browsing history using the cookies they track. If someone has done alot of research on construction.. they might get alot of construction type ads. In your case.. i'm sure your not looking at those type of ads but the owners would have the ability to block certain ads but for the most part it's based on targeted information. What one person sees for ads is likely different then another person.

You could send a email using the "contact us" form alerting them of what you saw and they can do a better job at filtering the ads away from those types of ads, etc.

Woops! Squirrels, chipmunks. Sorry Chip and Dale. I haven't noticed any pop-ups myself. But I don't notice much!
