I bought a black snowflake clownfish today from j&laquatics and it's not completely black he's dark brown will he blacken overtime he's active and eats and seems fine otherwise
depends how old it is. if it's still a baby then it will darken up. the first year they usually darken up but traces of orange which will still be there which would give you the colour brownish. I'm sure if it's a baby it will darken up. but if it doesn't you got a brownish clown fish which still looks awsome.
it will get darken but depend on the quality as well, some will get darker then other and you can't tell how they turn out when small. Even you get to see the breeding pair only 10% will turn out good and the rest just mix quality.
