I just finished the plumbing on my 400 gallon tank and I'm wanting to run the sump tomorrow. But I just realized I have been using industrial grade pvc solvent cement. Is that going to be an issue? How long do I have to let cure before I can run water through it ?

Well provided you used PVC pipe, you will be fine. Its not "glue" its "solvent cement" which essentially melts/fuses the pvc together to become "one"

Thanks for the reply. Yes it is solvent cement and not glue and yes it's pvc and not abs.

After 30 min you won't have any problems
And if you want to flush it you can but it's not necessary. Not gonna make a difference. Oh by the way I saw your pics of the 400g. Looks amazing. Nicely done.

I've used a gorilla glue pvc glue. Worked great and gives you that few extra seconds of work time. Also no need for primer.
