one of my barbs got columnaris which quickly spread to the other 5, they were put in a 10 gal QT tank right away and died within 24 hours. So far ( 3 days has passed ) my tetras that are still in the 30 gal are ok.
my question is i have taken everything from the QT tank as well as everything minus my filter from 30 gal and and bleach washed it then dechlor bath. is it ok to leave my 30 with my filter or once my QT is good to go put my tetras in there and do the same process with my 30 gal?

i personally would treat the fish in the 30gal. Angelfins.ca makes a deworming flake that will kill the worms. This type of worm can live in the tank for a long time which means they could be in the filter as well. This is a late reply but ive done a ton of research on this type of worm and figured if i ever happened to have an outbreak i would treat everything in the tank and not move my fish.
