Is there a gadget that electronically measures PH and hardness values? Just stick a probe in the tank and it has readouts of the water parameters? Anything like that available? Thanks, Betty

yep, you can get them but theyre not cheap, afaik they start around 250 but the multiprobes we use in the lab are like 8 grand.
if your just getting into the hobby though an entry level one can save you money in the long run.

Where would one find one of these things? Are they sold at aquarium stores? Or perhaps at hydroponics shops? I think I would love to have one of these! Using dip strips or liquid kits always seems to be fraught with human error. It would be nice to be able to just check and be sure. Betty

Thanks for the info. I dont know if these devices make it any easier though. Sounds like you need to calibrate a lot. Guess I need to do more research. Thanks again. Betty
