There a stone called serpentine. They 100% mess with your ph iv tried them
Hey. Thanks for the info. What features exactly make you id them as serpentine? I tried googling them, but the stones that come up look greener than mine. There a stone called serpentine. They 100% mess with your ph iv tried them
Don't know if that is serpentine...hard to tell how much if any metamorphism as occured based on those photos, looks more intrusive in origin. Perhaps the owner of those rocks could clarify to the where abouts those rocks were collected. If collected.... to the best of my knowledge very limited areas locally have exposed outcropping of ultramafic rock let alone metamorphosed ultramafic, typically where serpentine would be found. Also, I don't think that is granite, looks more like feldspar or perhaps quartz mineralization, likely feldspar if it is pink. There a stone called serpentine. They were collected from Parksville on the island. Not sure if the rocks were native to the area as they seemed to be close to some sort of construction site.Don't know if that is serpentine...hard to tell how much if any metamorphism as occured based on those photos, looks more intrusive in origin. Thanks for the kind offer, but I just traded away a couple lava stones recently so I'm good.I have a lava stone with a hole through it you can have without a trade. If your going to the VAHS BBQ July 23 I can bring it for you.Cheers
