So I have been experimenting with dry starting tanks. I found the hardest part and most time consuming was to get a full carpet going.
For anyone looking for a new 10G setup... this will save you the hassle. Add whatever you want to it
Add a driftwood and BAM.. its a nice looking shrimp tank.

ADA Aquasoil 3" Substrate (new version)
Full HC Carpet (hundred dollars worth)
Programmable LED light (National geographic).. very bright.
All yours for $200 FIRM. Easy to carry. It looks exactly like in photo.. still never filled with water. HC carpet has spread out across whole tank.
