I recently made some root tabs for my planted tank. They contain micro and macro nutrients which are essential for the plant growth. Most of the root tabs you find in the store contains only micro-nutrient, plants require NPK macro nutrients for optimum growth. I made these root tabs using all the fish safe dry Fertilizer and bound them in natural red clay which is a great source of iron.

The root tabs consist of Macro- nutrients
Potassium Nitrate (KNO3) — 5.36%
Mono Potassium Phosphate (KH2PO4) — 1.34 %
Potassium Sulfate (K2SO4) —- 1.35%
Calcium Sulfate (CaSO4) —— 1.34%

Micro-nutrients are 42.6% contains following elements.
Fe, Mn, Mg, Zn ,Cu ,Mo, B ,Co , Mb, boron
in addition to Magnesium Sulfate MgSO4 —- 5.36%

I have some tabs to go and asking $5 for 15 root tabs $10 for 35 root tabs.

Please contact if interested.

Thanks

In your experience, how frequently are you using a new root tab? How are you dosing the tab i.e. 1 tab for each square foot?

I just made them from a recipe in action from a long time. They say one root tab could last for 30 to 90 days as it highly depends on the plant load in the substrate. The recommended dose is 1 tab for 6X6 area in the substrate.
