I bought a large bag of filter sand from the local pool store for a Fludized Bed Filter I am trying to build. Does anyone want some? I would be willing to sell for 3.00 a liter.

LEt me know if you are interested.

Ok thanks, guess I will have to grab my own bag.
Are you using a 5 gallon bucket for your filter? If you are, you only want your filter approximately 1/3 full, as if it is more full you tend to blow the sand into your tank.

yah. I am using a 5 liter jug with some fittings glued on. Powered by a powerhead. we'll see how it works :)

Edit:

I think I am going to redo my 5 gallon gravel tank with filter sand, and get some shrimpy-love going on.
