Last night I got some really bad news, there was an updated version of my apartments strata bylaws
Under the door. One of the specifications now is that we are not to have fish tanks exceeding 300 lbs ....
What a joke. I'm pretty choked.... I have a bunch of tanks I have to sell now :(
....I can't risk being liable for damages if anything were to happen ...otherwise I would never ever sell my tanks.

55 gallon tank with matching stand
(48"x21"x12 3/4")
+ 50 lbs of sand
+ hood canopy with working lights in excellent condition
-bought this brand new, owned it less than 6 months
$150 firm

75 gallon tank with matching stand
(48"x21"x18")
+50 lbs of sand
$200

Additional accessories for that tank
Glass lids $25
Coralife dual t5ho light $50
Ac 110's - $40 each or both for $75 (sold)

125 gallon tank with matching stand
(72"x18"x22" aprox)
+75 lbs of sand
$300
(sold)
Additional accessories:
Glass lids $30 (sold)
300 watt heater $25
Ac 110s - 40 each or all 3 for $100 (sold)

Also have 30 gal long + 33 gal
(might need new silicone but I had both on on my patio And they held water just fine.)
$25, $30 or both for $50

Also have years worth of rocks and driftwood in my collection

Driftwood pieces are 10" - 18" in size and are priced from $10-15

Rocks: 5 X cantaloupe sized lava rocks ($10 each all 5 for $40)
5 X large flat river rocks ($8 each or 5 for $30)
3 X pieces of marbled slate ($20 for all 3)
8 x fist sized river rocks with beautiful colouring ($30 for all)

Hey man
Are you sure these are bylaws or are they rules? Bylaws are voted on at an annual general meeting and MUST obtain a passed 3/4 vote to be mandated and then appropriately filed with the land title office. Furthermore, your strata lot should be grandfathered in. I would STRONGLY protest this bylaw until you check all the facts, and obviously, do yourself a favour and attend strata meetings!!!

I don't even know how liable you would be held for damages - I would check with your insurance.

I asked about the grandfathering in thing, but they said they go with the strata bylaws ....

Only reason i didnt send pics is cause the tank sold. I updated my post....so i dunno how i can help you lol

And i got à lot of replies about driftwood, try texting again, sorry.

Hello DunderBear,
I believe he mentioned the python water changer was not the shortest one they manufactured. It's sitting in my garage right now and I didn't get a chance to measure.

Happy with the transaction!
