Is mini water lettuce different from water lettuce?

It stays really small, Ash. I remember a member a while ago selling duckweed as "mini water lettuce" by accident.... LOL.

Hmm, mine grows around 5-7cm diameter in size. Google image showed regular water lettuce to be the size of a palm :)

My water lettuce is pretty big compared to duckweed, like a centimeter diameter per frond.

5-7cm is huge! Palm sized water lettuce is for ponds..... lol

Haha they only grow that big if they have space. Most of the time they multiply so fast that they have no room to grow!
