Hey all,

I have 2 GBRs and I bought them from the Island Pet's in Richmond. The guy who got them for me seemed fairly knowledgeable. I asked if I could get a 1 male and 1 female but I think I may have ended up with 2 males. I'm not sure. One of them keeps chasing the other one around the tank on and off. It is not a CONSTANT thing but enough for me to notice.

I've been reading up on sexing them but I really am not sure as there is a lot of information out there on the subject. I was hoping to see if there are any experts on here willing to give an opinion. Vertebrate Plant Beak Organism Vegetation

Sorry pics aren't the best. Thanks.

If there's blue in and /or around the black spot on their sides its female. If the spot is very black, no blue jewels more than likely a male. When I catch I always locate the male fort before I get the net near the tank, catch the male..as soon as the n et goes in the male fades his colours. Thrn I can get a female easier as they show their blue faded or not.

Hey April! The 6 rummy's I got from you are doing well in the tank.

Can you discern anything from those photos? It's really hard to tell for me as I'm not sure. I'll try to look more closely as well.

Thanks.
