First batch of free swimmers from this pair after moving them over from the community tank. I was surprised to see the parents taking turns holding the fry in their mouths. Fry are 16 days old today and there are only about 70-80 of them. A very short Youtube video at the bottom. Thanks for viewing.

are they eating brine shrimp?

I did not feed them baby brine shrimps. I fed them microworms a few times, but it was hard for the fry to hunt down the tiny microworms in this 60 gallon tank. They mostly ate off of the algae films on glass and the micro organisms on wood and surfaces in the first week. Now I am feeding finely crushed dry food, and grindal worms every few days.
