A question for all of you , i have an open topped aquarium and my trim around the tank and the light fixture has collected alot of water/calcium deposits ? if i got that right all over it. I kept wiping it down here and there , but gave up lately.How can i get this stuff off for good ? any products out there or some good old hand scrubbing ? thank for the help !

" good old vinegar nothing beats you " lol
use the vinegar and SCRUB like crazy it will come off

What about that "CLR" thing that you see on TV. You know how they advertise it on TV and it's like a magic cleaner, gets rid of lime, scale deposit, etc.. effortless. What is that stuff anyway? Canuck Tire carries that product or something like that..

Vinegar will work with some elbow grease. Calcium Lime Rust (CLR) works better.

I prefer household "solutions" though.

Be careful CLR does not leave a residue that might find is way back into the tank via condensation at night.

I would rather go the vinegar route - place a vinegar soaked cloth on the target are for half an hour or more and then it should come off easier
