absolutely, killie keepers have been mailing eggs in peat moss practically forever. Killies lay their eggs which stay dormant till the next rainy season. The trouble with this post is that it is in no way a sustainable way to keep fish. Killies need care just like any other fish and and a 2 gallon tank should have no more than 2 to 4 fish, depending on the species.

I've heard of gift shops selling them as 'wonder eggs' or something of other. They'd probably do better in something a little bigger than that mermaid tank abomination but considering the mix of killies you get it looks like a good deal!
