I usually buy my sand from Langley Bywater. It's white PFS, and it only costs about $17 for 50 lbs
I buy my off white colored sand from them too. Its the perfect size and weight. Looks very fine without any large pieces but doesnt not get stirred up easily by the fish.

It also is very clean. I noticed I needed very little cleaning.

They only sell in 50lbs bags though... way to much for a 22 gallon tank

Maybe someone will split the purchase and take 25 lbs. each or the extra amount you don't require.

Or just keep the extra for yourself. I know when I siphon off during water changes, some sand gets drawn up and into the pail. I usually just toss it out with the old water, so it is handy to have a little more sand on hand. Throw in a (rinsed) handful from time to time to keep the sand bed the depth you want.

Bought a 50 pound bag of PFS from Paddock Pools in Burnaby in case you don't want to go to Langley. IIRC, Lane Mountain silica PFS, beige/off white colour. Rinses clean.

PetSmart has two sizes of white (kind of ivory coloured) OR black (which is more a charcoal grey colour) : 5 lb bag = $9 and the 25 lb bag = $25.
