For the flagtail, I'd lie 4"-7" range and on a dry pellet diet, preferably established in a tank already versus buying from a store. For the sexfasciatus I want something 2"-3" ideally, so that it can grow into my tank and hopefully tolerate tank mates better.

Going into an 8' 240 gallon.

Was just at Main Aquarium. Edward has about 6 flagtails ranging from 3" - 6". They are pretty easy to train to eat anything in my experience

i've had a disto before and they grow really quickly and can become aggressive.
I suggest having a smaller disto in a tank with already established larger fish.
they also become very pale and dull looking when they get larger
