Anyone in or near Vancouver willing to give up some used filter media to help me seed mine??

For those who haven't read about my tank, I did a fishless cycle on my 10g in October/November using a raw prawn and fish flakes which took just over 4 weeks to complete. Water parameters were all great (amm and nitrite:0, nitrate:<5). Unfortunately, have not been able to keep a single fish alive for more than 48 hours in the tank, but RCS are fine for whatever reason. Anyway, decided to tear down the tank of death, let it dry out, and start from scratch. I've been reading over and over again that the best/fasest/easiest way to cycle a tank is to seed it with used filter media, which I obviously don't have. So anyone out there willing to help a newbie out, will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Are you using old substrate? I had a tank i got from someone with some substrate, and it was not keeping the amonia down, i figured out that it was the subtrate that was at fault, so something to look at if your using used substrate

I have a bit of old gravel in there, but it was some that was used in my dads old tank. From 2 different test kits my ammonia were staying at 0 so I don't think they're the cause. I have rerinsed a bunch of times in case too. Thanks for the suggestion though!
