LF Plant Weights

If anyone has a decent collection of these, I'm interested. These are the zinc strips you find around bunch plants you buy in the pet store. There are also weights sold specifically for weighing down plants. Looking for at least 15 but want 20-30.

Thanks!

hey there

I believe they are actually lead weights, but I could be wrong. These ones on ebay are anyways:

You can get them off ebay worst case scenario if no on has them here.

I've only got a couple otherwise I'd give them to you for free.
if you got these, i'd be glad to grab some off yah

I've only got 3 though. Check that ebay link, they're dirt cheap.
I got mine online from BigAlsOnline.ca They weren't expensive at all.
Weird that they say lead is non-toxic. I was told they were zinc but it looks like I'm wrong. Thanks for the info. No one wants to part with their weights?
You can buy a roll of solid solder used for plumbing and cut off pieces as needed for plant weights. If you want flattened, ribbon weights, a little use of a hammer quickly makes them from the round solder. Solder approved for plumbing now contains no lead and is non-toxic. Just be sure to buy the solid solder , not the acid or rosin core rolls .
Good tip Dave, thanks. May be the best solution!
I looked into the solder suggestion at Rona, but it seems like it would be more expensive. Rolls are about $11-$14 and I'm guessing they would be about 20 3" strips. The material seems quite light also. No lead though, which is probably better.

Plant weights found. Please close.
