Looking for the following items to build up my bonsai:
Would appreciate any leads on where to get them locally. TIA!

1) moss netting

2) a large piece/pieces of coarse filter sponge (green/clear/black)

3) Medium piece of slate, approx 3" x 4"

I was at H&M with the S/O today and we saw this spongey scrunge/hair-tie thing that was quite round and it looked like it was made of plastic - right before the check out. Might want to give it a look! You can also glue smaller foam pieces together to get a bigger piece too.

Go buy a bag of onions or Oranges or something in a net.
I got pieces of plastic green net thst came in with my shrimp shipment. Using it so baby swordtails can hide from parent.

Costco sells avacado's in a green net bags, they work great too.

You guys are such a resourceful bunch! I ended up using a plastic loofah I got from the dollar store.

If you like the moss netting like the ones in the 1st pic, Kerry once told me you can get those from Fabricana.

I have a sheet of black coarse filter sponge, but it's not a block size... How big do you need? I can cut a size for you.
Annnnnd I have a slate that looks like the one in your pic, but it's a long one... So I guess I'll have to find a way to break it for you, lol~
(Am I able to break it with a hammer?)

I use the plastic scouring pad made of netting snip the zap strap holding it together and unroll it.

You will have a long net sock.

or I use panti hose from the $1 store to make media socks or contain various thing like peat moss or oyster shell.
